After years in the commercial world, some crave a deeper purpose but can find the charity sector impenetrable. Meanwhile, charities are facing a skills’ shortage. The Well Placed bridges the gap, offering a stepping-stone for those wanting to transfer their skills, through six-month, paid placements in UK charities. We run cohorts every May and November. You can register your interest below.
Vision
Imagine a world where the commercial skills and experience of mid-life people are not just valued but actively sought after by charity employers. At The Well Placed, we’re dedicated to turning this vision into a reality, reshaping the workforce landscape one placement at a time.
Mission
Our mission is to empower job seekers in mid-life to transfer their commercial skills and expertise to the charity sector. Because experience has value and potential knows no limits, at any age. Join us in rewriting the narrative of what it means to thrive in late career in the workforce.
Values
We advocate fairness, believing in equal treatment and opportunities for all. Optimistic about shifting attitudes, we aim to accelerate change, envisioning a future where mid-life recruits are valued. Fearlessly, we confront age discrimination, sparking sometimes uncomfortable but necessary conversations. Through genuine partnership, we foster empathy, respect, and collaboration.
